Tailgate Tuesday: Pizza Calzone

How was everyone's weekend?  Did you watch some college football? Did your team win?

UGA beat Buffalo: 45 to 23
Clemson beat Auburn: 26 to 19

This recipe is brought to you by Pinterest!  You can never go wrong with pizza at a tailgate and this recipe is super easy and absolutely delicious!

 You'll need:
1 can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (about 1 cup)
Pepperoni (I used turkey pepperoni)
Pizza Sauce
Seasonings - Italian style and red pepper flakes

Lay out your cresent rolls in a row, alternating sides for the triangle tip.
It's important to make sure the bottom is completely covered, it needs to hold all of your toppings.

This is optional, but I diced up my pepperoni so that it would be easier to eat.

First put down a layer of cheese, then pepperoni, sauce, and finally another layer of cheese.
You can use as much or as little of the toppings as you like.

Bake at 35o degrees for about 22 minutes.
When the calzone is a golden color you know it's ready.

Cut into smaller pieces so that it's easier to handle at a tailgate.
One the side I served a bowl of leftover pizza sauce.  I just heated it on the stove for a few minutes - I added Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to give it a little kick.

What is your go-to recipe for a tailgate?
