Are y'all (yes I said y'all) ready for the last piece of the ultimate handmade baby gift?!?! So far I've shown you how to make a decorative wipe case and a changing pad. Now we're going to make a clutch to put the wipe case, changing pad and diapers in.
Her instructions are way better than mine would ever be so I will just give you a play by play on how I created the clutch but go to Sewing Barefoot for the full tutorial.
I chose a pink and grey chevron fabric for the outside of the clutch and a white neutral fabric for the inside. I bought the fabric from Fabric.com - if you've never bought fabric from this website I highly recommend it. They have a huge selection, the delivery is fast and their customer service is great!
Measure twice, cut once!!
Adding the magnetic button was probably the hardest part since I've never use one before. But I think it adds such a professional/store bought look.
Here are some great instructions on how to add a magnetic clasp.
This fabric wrinkles easy to I had to iron the clutch several times.
Don't forget to add a handle so mommy can hold it easily!
There you go...all done!! Now you have a clutch, wipe case, and changing pad for baby.
Thanks Sewing Barefoot for the great tutorial!!!
