We are back at it again, we're making over a guestroom for a family friend! Our client is doing a furniture shuffle in her house and wants to spruce up one of the extra bedrooms. She has a black and white toile bedspread for us to use and black and white toile decorative plates. Here is our inspiration board for the overall look and feel:
Although the toile is very traditional we are wanting to give the space a more modern feel. So we are going to add a gallery wall using Ribba picture frames from Ikea and the homeowner's decorative plates. We'll also update the space with a contemporary mirror in a metallic finish, a glass lamp, and a black and white chevron pillow.
The most exciting part for us about this makeover is the painted furniture! The homeowner has two antique pieces for us to paint, a tall chest of drawers and a vintage trunk. We are going to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Florence and Paris Grey...can't wait!!

We're tearing up looking at these pictures again. This was our first baby.....I mean project for a client. We still love every inch of this room! I'm sure we'll fall in love all over again with this next guestroom makeover!
