ICE at Opryland

One of the best things about Nashville is that there is always something to do!  Every year from November to the first of January Opryland has a huge ice sculpture exhibit and we were lucky enough to score free tickets from my husband's work (yay...I love free stuff!).

This ice exhibit is created from 1.5 million pounds of ice and is kept at a chilly 9 degrees.  The ice scupltures are crafted by 35 dedicated artisans from Harbin, China. The talented team spends nearly an entire month in Nashville creating this one-of-a-kind attraction.  To stay comfortable throughout this "frozen fountain of youth," guests are issued complimentary warm parkas with hoods.

This year the ice scuplture theme was Merry Madagascar.

We had a great time at this exhibit!  It was fun to bundle up in the big parkas and see the AMAZING sculptures.  This will definitely be a Christmas tradition for us (as long as we get free tickets every year...hehehe)!
