This past weekend the BF and I were in Charleston to celebrate our dear friends wedding! The entire weekend could not have been better. The sun was shining and the drinks were flowing :-)
Thursday consisted of: darts at The Griffon; oyster shots at Pearlz; martinis at Cypress; dinner at High Cotton; and roof top drinks at Market Pavilion.
Plus an impromptu photo shoot!
Friday the girls went to lunch at Husk while the boys played golf. That night we headed to McCrady's for the rehearsal dinner. The entire upstairs was rented out for us. To start I head champagne along with passed appetizers: fried green tomatoes, ham biscuits, fresh oysters & shrimp cocktail. Dinner was a four course meal with tomato terrine, pear salad, seared grouper and dessert (mini pies & treats).
The after party was dueling pianos where the bride & groom danced on the pianos! So cute!!
Saturday we woke up at a decent hour to do some sight seeing. The BF and I headed over to Charles Towne Landing to see the zoo, specifically the otters. But much to our disappointment, the otters weren't out :-( However, we did see Elk, Bison, Turkey, Shore Birds and Deer.
The wedding was Saturday night, January 7th at 7pm. The BF and all the groomsmen headed over around 4pm which gave me plenty of time to take a little nap. The wedding was a white tie affair, the boys wore tuxedos with tails and white gloves. I wore a long black dress that I borrowed from a friend. I added fun jewelry to spice it up!
As we walked outside to send the Bride & Groom off ~ we were handed brown bags??? Strange you may say, but it was Five Guys, we got a cheeseburger and fries! YUM!
Congrats to LaBruce and Harrison!
